Y'all! Carson Koslov just stole my heart from his brother, Alexei! I wasn't expecting to fall in love with him like that, but I did! I highly recommend Ruthless Saints!

I don't want to give anything away because I feel this story would be enjoyed best by going in blind. Just know that this book gave me ALL the feels! 

It's emotional, it's intense, it's heartbreaking at times but it's also what makes it SO freaking good!

The anguish felt by both characters just bleeds from the pages. 

I have been a fan of this world from the beginning and each story just solidifies my love for these characters, this world and this author! The characters are connected but the stories are not. Each are complete standalones and can be read on their own and won't leave you feeling like you're missing out on something.

“Pardon me, I couldn’t help but notice that one of you lovely ladies is getting married soon?” 

Some women have a thing for arms. Some go for abs or a smile. Me? Give me a man with a deep voice that I just know would say filthy things to me behind closed doors, and I am a pile of mush. 

This man, who I’ve not yet made eye contact with? This voice coming from behind me? I don’t even need to look at him to know that he would leave me satisfied in all the right ways. Add in his country twang, and I’m already melting.

And plaid. He’s definitely wearing a plaid shirt. I bet his sleeves are rolled up, showing off his forearms. 

Okay, so maybe I have a thing for arms, too. 

“Well then, darlin’, what kind of gentleman would I be if I didn’t offer to buy you and your friends a drink?” 

“I’ll take a drink!” Emmilene yells from the other side of Ella Mae. I quickly look over at her and realize that she’s staring at this man like he’s dinner, and she hasn’t eaten in days. 

That’s all the cue I need to turn around and finally put a face to the image I’ve concocted in my head. 

Sweet baby Jesus.

He’s… I don’t even have words. And I’m never speechless. 

Though I have a feeling if this man were to get me naked, he’d be leaving me speechless for a whole different reason. 

He’s what a man should look like. In every definition of that phrase. 

I was mostly right about the choice of clothes. I hit the nail on the head with the plaid and jeans. Instead of the cowboy hat, he has opted for a backward trucker cap. Usually, I’m not a fan of that look. But on this guy? I’m a fan. 

A big, big fan. 

Then there are the things I didn’t imagine about him, but I don’t even know if I could have if I tried.

The skin I can see is bronzed only the way it can be from working outside in the southern sun. His muscles fill out his shirt just right to pull at the fabric, but not too much where it might rip. His smile is that fine line between cocky and confident and shows off a dimple in his left cheek.  

Then there are his eyes. They are the color of my favorite milk chocolate. 

And they are currently burning into me right now.

“And what about you, sweetness?” he asks, his voice softening a bit, though the look in his eyes is more intense. “What can I get you? You look a little thirsty.” 

You.

I almost said it. It was on the tip of my tongue because that’s literally the only word I can think of. 

But I don’t have a chance to answer. Just as who knows what word is about to come out of my mouth, the unmistakable first beat of the song “Pony” comes blaring through the jukebox. The song might be as old as I am, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know it. 

And apparently, so does Sexy Plaid Cowboy Man. 

He reaches for Ella Mae’s hand, his hips slowly starting to move in beat with the music, and when I turn to look at my best friend, her face is twenty different shades of red. I don’t know if this man realizes that he just picked the shyest bachelorette in the history of bachelorettes to try and give an impromptu lap dance.

“What’s a bachelorette party without a dance?” he asks, bringing her out of her chair. “Don’t worry, I don’t bite.” 

“I… no… I can’t!” she squeals, immediately turning toward me. “Here! Dance with Whitley!” 

“What?” I let out, not having a second to take in what’s happening before Ella Mae grabs my hand, yanks me off my stool, and slingshots me into the hardest chest I’ve ever felt. 

I look up to see his brown eyes taking me in, and that cocky smile is back with full force. 

“Your friend doesn’t want a dance?” he says, his voice hitting me even harder this close to him. 

“She’s shy,” I say, trying not to melt from the sound of his deep timbre. 

“Are you?” he asks, a hint of mischief playing on his face.

I don’t break eye contact, though I can see Emmilene out of the corner of my eye, her mouth wide open as she can’t believe what is happening. 

Oh, this just got so much better. 

“Absolutely not. What do you got, cowboy?”

I'm in love with this novella by Chelle Sloan!  There wasn’t a dull moment the entire time!

This was an instant attraction romance that finds trouble because of social media. 

Jake and Whitley were so much fun and were so hot to read. 

Thirst Trap is a little spin off of her Nashville Fury series but you don't have to read the series to get this one. Thirst Trap is able to stand completely on its own. (But I highly suggest reading the series because  Chelle Sloan can write a sports romance like it's nobody's business!)

Chelle Sloan's writing is incredible. She paints every scene so vividly with her words. There's a lap dance moment in the story and she writes it in such detail that I can picture EVERY move made during the dance. (It's the guy giving the lap dance and it's HOT!)

If you are looking for a fun, HOT read, I highly suggest this one!

Chelle is a contemporary romance author who writes happily ever afters with a lot of love with a little bit of humor mixed in. A native of Ohio, Chelle decided that after a decades-long career in sports journalism, it was time to take a step back. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in journalism and is set to graduate from her program in 2021. She is a diehard Cleveland sports fan, is the owner of way too many, yet not enough, tumblers and will be a New Kids on the Block fan until the day she dies. I love Willette! I fell in love with her in Hawk's story and am so glad Kat Savage gave us her story next. She's a mix of salty and sweet, fierce and vulnerable. 

Will is Hawk's best friend since childhood and also his coworker...and she has a secret she's been keeping from Hawk for forever. 

She's in love with his brother, Derek.

Derek has decided to relocate to the area and need a place to stay. Guys who gets volunteered to let Derek stay at their place while he finds his own residence! Will!

It's a sweet, fun story until Derek finds out that Will's attraction to him isn't something that just developed. 

I love how Kat Savage has given us this series filled opposites attract characters and make them work so well - with each other and to the reader. 

I can't wait to see what she has in store with Avery and Hanson!

Standing in front of her, I waited but realized she wasn’t going to look at me until I encouraged her. “Beth.”

She slowly raised her head, but her eyes only met mine for a brief second before looking over my shoulder. “Yes.”

Her voice was quiet, so quiet it was hard to hear her, and I knew a lot of that had to do with her shyness, but I also recognized fear when I saw it, so I lowered my voice. “I’m Striker. I’ll be taking you to the safe house.”

She swallowed hard and glanced at me before looking away. “Are you my bodyguard or something?”

No, I wasn’t a bodyguard. I’d never been a bodyguard, nor did I want to be. I wasn’t the kind of man who cared enough to watch over someone. My job was to drop her at the safe house and leave. Brody would assign someone to watch over her. I was a tracker with a fucking job to do, and that job didn’t leave me time for much else.

When I didn’t answer, she slowly shifted her eyes back to mine. I held her stare, her green eyes burning into mine and causing a pain in my chest I’d never felt before. “Striker?” she said quietly.

“Yeah,” I responded, but when my voice was gruff, I cleared my throat. “What?”

My Reward has me wanting to go back and re-read all of her books all over again. 

Striker is closed off, blunt, kind of - okay totally - a butt and doesn't trust women. He  took on the task of watching over Beth, whose life was in danger. For four years he's silently kept watch over her. 

Beth is shy, meek and has scars both internally as well as externally. She's been through hell and back and is now ready to take the steps she needs to get her life back. 

Until factors make Beth a target one again. 

Let me just say the angst between these two had my stomach in knots. I know I say this after every book, but I looove these two!

Then there's Jack DiMarco! Anytime he pops up, I have myself bracing for tears because I know he's going to say something that will hit me in the feels. I keep hoping that Jennifer Hanks will write his story one day!

If you couldn't tell by now, I highly recommend this book! All of her books are interconnected and worth reading but don't feel like you have to read them to fully get each one. They stand perfectly on their own as well as reading them together. .

  When he forced me to marry him, I cried for love I’d never know. When he locked me away, I cried for the freedom I lost forever. Every other tear I’ve shed is for my soul, because I’m falling for the devil himself.    

       

  About the Author: 

  CD Reiss has a long history of aimlessly moving from place to place. She finally settled in Los Angeles where she earned a master’s degree in cinematic writing from USC. After graduation, she ultimately failed to have one line of dialog put on film, but stayed in Hollywood out of spite.  

  Since screenwriting was going nowhere, she switched to novels. Soon after, luck arrived with a complete set of baggage. She now has over two dozen titles under her belt. Two of those are NY Times Bestsellers and a handful more are USA Today bestsellers. Her audiobooks have won APA Audie Awards and Earphones Awards, swelling her ego to an inhuman size.   

  She lives with her family, two cats and her long-suffering husband in a small Hollywood house that’s been outfitted with huge, ego-sized doorways.
