I think he’s a vicious madman of jerk-sized proportions. 

But fate is a wicked tease.

How does she do it?!?! With every story Kristy Marie writes, she gives me a new couple to fall in love with, laugh with and cry with. 

The Potter is a beautifully told story about two people that are flawed but in different ways. One is asking for help while the other is running as far away from it as they can. These two shouldn't even have this story but fate and a few yummy side characters intervene. 

So, I think I've realized I have a type of book boyfriend and Vance Potter is it! He's snarky, likes everything his way, has a filthy mouth, and is vulnerable but will cut anyone that points it out. (He also secretly likes being told no.)

Halle is everything that Vance doesn't want in his life. She's doesn't jump when he says to. She questions him and pushes every button that man has and some he didn't even know he had. Watching Dr. Potter snap was equally fun and hot at the same time! Halle also sees him at his lowest - something NO ONE is supposed to see. 

What Vance wasn't expecting is that with all of Halle's behavior that SHOULD annoy the hell out of him, she also brings the calm. It doesn't happen immediately but slowly she becomes his balm.

I love Halle! She has a heart of gold to those that need it and can be fierce to those that deserve it. Her determination and tenacity to shape her future for the better had me admiring her character. 

They each see something in the other that they don't see in themselves. Both of them have been through hell and back.

The chemistry between these two is OFF THE CHAINS! The way Kristy Marie built up the passion between these two had me begging for them to get it on already. When they finally do - wowza!!!

I highly, highly, highly suggest reading The Potter. It's beautifully written, the emotions snuck up on me and the ending left me completely satisfied and ready for the next story in this series!
