The conclusion to the Ties That Bind Duet, His, picks up exactly where Mine, book one, left off. From there it's a fast-paced story that kept me on the edge of my seat.
While the heat factor wasn't as strong as I would have liked, I did like that Lev and Kat had more of a connection with each other in this one than the last.
Secrets and surprises just keep popping out left and right.
Then there is the emotional side. Lev and Kat struggle through a very painful experience. The way the authors deliver it was beautifully done but it had me sobbing. From there on, I had to keep my tissues close by.
I think the authors did this duet justice with His. Mafia romance wouldn't be good if there wasn't pain and they delivered that in spades. However it was the way they ended the story that impressed me.
