I abso-freakin-lutely LOVED this story! I could stay in this fictional town for forever!
Freya and Max - these two had my emotions all over the place!
Freya is returning home after leaving it all behind without any notice. She's got fences to mend and people to avoid.
Max was left heartbroken when Freya left. Now she's back, right before he's about to get married.
The story goes back and forth from present and past and it's told from both points of views. The author lures you in by withholding facts here and there. Some are comical and some are heart wrenching.
The side characters are FANTASTIC! You will love some of them and possibly hate the others but they are all part of the community and gives this story its balance and so much potential for future stories.
I'm amazed that this is the author's debut novel! I loved this story, the way it was written, and I can't wait for her next book!
