“You don’t belong.”
No words whispered in anger have ever rung more true.
They’re the Kings of Brayshaw with the world at their
feet, destined for greatness and in need of control.
I’m the girl from the ghetto with nothing to offer and as
defiant as they come.
They say it doesn’t matter, that I’m one of them now, and
nothing could ever change that. Not even me, should I
dare try.
But they’re wrong.
They underestimate how far I’ll go to protect them.

Trouble is coming...and they have no idea

Excerpt

“Hello, Raven.”
Unease washes over me, but I force my eyes back to the
court, and sure as shit, amongst the crazy, Maddoc and
Captain both spotted the piece of shit move my way.
“What do you want, Perkins?”
“I got a very interesting transfer slip on my desk this
morning, Ms. Carver.”
I freeze, and I’m pretty sure my eyes widen, because
Maddoc’s frown deepens, but he takes off, the ball now
in his possession and I shift to see him better.
In the same second, Perkins lays his hand on my arm,
and I spin, yanking away from him.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” I spit through clenched teeth
and a mocking laugh leaves him.
The crowd groans and when my eyes flash back to the
court, Maddoc’s hands are swiping down his face in
frustration, the ball now with the opposing team as the
final buzzer sounds.
“Thanks for all your help, Ms. Carver.”
“Don’t get it twisted. I’d never do a damn thing to
purposely help you.”
He steps down, turning back to face me as he does. “You
have a good night.

So you'll share your world, but not your mind?"
"My mind is dark, baby."
"And?"
"And you're afraid of the dark."

Holy crap! My mind is blown! What a great continuation of the Brayshaw story!

In BOBH, we were left with a shocking cliffhanger! That cliffhanger is NOTHING compared to the one we are left with at the end of Trouble at Brayshaw High.

""It won't be fun being caught up in this." Won't be fun, as in there's still more to come?"
Buckle up! By the end of the story my jaw was wide open! For every problem resolved, two more get thrown into the mix.

Meagan Brandy is talented at what she does best. She teases, gives us what we think we need to know, only to show us we weren't prepared for what she has in store.

The character development among these characters was everything!
Raven has these vulnerable moments that got to me, because to her, showing anything remotely vulnerable is considered a weakness.

We get more insight on the boys. These guys are smart and calculated and yet the boys have been knocked off their pedestal by the one they chose to bring in. "Your very own queen might just dethrone you."

Maddoc, Big Man, is all about loyalty.  Show it and he will reward you, break it and he becomes  your worst nightmare.

Captain has one thing in his agenda. It's his motivation and possibly his weakness.

Royce...  he's still somewhat of a mystery to me. I think his weakness is himself and I hope to see more of him and his personality. He and Raven have this moment in the story where we get a peek at a more serious Royce.

After reading TABH I am anxious to know how it all ends. Who is running the show? Who else has their own agenda? What else does Meagan Brandy have in store for us that will make us lose our mind?
